Vancrest Construction won the bid to perform specific restoration tasks at this iconic mission-style church early in 2022. Projected for completion in June.
Among the tasks was replacing the rotting wood vigas with new pine log vigas. This required specialized waterproofing, sealer, and stainless-steel fasteners. Expert concrete wall repair was needed as well as repair to the beautiful original doors and windows.
Ageing was added to the new coating to match the previous finish, and renewing the gold leafing of the cross adds grace and beauty to the façade.
